Welcome Home!
The Drs. Paul and John Rekai Centre operate two long term care homes in the downtown core of Toronto. Our vision is to “champion living fully for our residents.” We offer a wide array of programs, both in the home and external, to ensure our residents can enjoy the pulse of the downtown community that surrounds them. Our outings include visits to the Marlies Games, the National Ballet School and Niagara Falls. We believe that offering our residents a diverse array of programs helps keeps them healthy and happy.
Our nursing staff provide excellent care and service. We have been recognized for our leadership in reducing pressure ulcers as well as the number of falls residents may experience. We were recently granted accreditation by Accreditation Canada, a very rigourous process where our nursing, program, governance and financial systems are all reviewed by external auditors.
The Rekai Centre was Canada’s first multicultural nursing home and today has residents of many cultural backgrounds. The cuisine is modified, when possible, to reflect the cultural backgrounds of our residents.
We encourage families to book an appointment and tour our homes. We’re here to help you!
