Short Term Stays/Respite Care
From time to time, families who are caring for a loved one in the home need a break. Caregivers can become exhausted from the demands of caring for a loved one. We recognize and respect this need. Our homes offer accommodation for a loved one.
Wellesley Central Place
Wellesley Central Place has two short term stay rooms for males and two short term stay rooms for females. Each room is a private room with a shared bathroom. The resident receives the same care as our regular residents.
The Rekai Centre
The Rekai Centre offers two short term stays rooms. One room is a semi private with two individuals sharing one bathroom while the second is a “ward style” room with four people sharing the bathroom. The resident receives the same care as our regular residents.
All individuals interested in seeking short term stay/respite care in either home must contact the Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) to determine their eligibility. CCAC will advise the family when space is available to accommodate their needs.
The cost to stay in a short term stay/respite care room is $34.53/day and the rate is established by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
